Silver Coins

There are many types and sizes of Silver coins to purchase and 'invest' in with new designs produced every year.  Within the United States, the US Mint produces the Silver Eagle which is identified and known worldwide which makes them easy to buy and sell. The premiums on the Silver Eagles are amount the highest without going into numismatic coins.

Purchasing a precious metal coin that is identified worldwide has it's advantages as they are easier to sell. Purchasing a 1 ounce Silver coin that is not easily identified is much harder to sell and will most likely get a price close to 'spot' if sold. Counterfeiting will be increasing with the price of precious metals on the rise and purchasing from a trustful source and easily identifiable coin will be key.
